Our newly formed Athletics Club aims to foster our students’ natural ability and give them professional coaching and practise time before the school athletics sports. Darfield High School then encourages and supports students that have the potential to go on to compete at higher levels.

Date: Tuesday 28th February.

News:

  • The 1500m and any prelims will take place before Athletics Day during lunchtime.
  • Athletics timetable will be realised after sign-ups have taken place. Both a hard copy and digital version will be available to view.

  • 11th March, Canterbury Secondary Schools Competition Finals.
  • 31th March - 2 March, SISS Athletics @ Caledonian Ground, Dunedin.
  • 8th - 9th April, NZSS Athletics @ TET Stadium, Inglewood

2017 Competitions for Year 7 and 8 Students:

  • Term 4, Malvern Primary Schools Athletics @ Darfield High School.
  • 21 November, Canterbury Primary Schools Athletics, Ashburton Domain.

Athletics Club

Signup: Start of Term One.

Trainings: During lunchtimes prior to the Athletics Day at school and after school on Wednesday(numbers dependent). Coaching may be offered at these sessions.
