Equestrian is becoming a popular sport at Darfield High School. Team numbers have been significantly boosted in recent years and Darfield has become well represented in the competitive equestrian world. We have three inter-school competitions throughout the year. These include, dressage, showjumping and the one-day horse trial. There are also a wide range of other equestrian events out of school that our students compete in. In future, we would like to increase awareness of this sport by getting younger/new students involved. By doing this it would increase our participation numbers, therefore, strengthening our teams in the inter-school competitions. It will also allow new students to meet new people with similar interests as them and have the opportunity to represent the school within a team environment.
