Football
Football is a smaller sport at Darfield High School but is beginning to grow. Our teams are diverse with a mix of both full-time students and International students playing alongside each other. We encourage new players to try our sport. In the 2016 Girls team, over half of the team had never played competitive football before. This sport is largely student run but still exceeds expectations, with our First XI Boys team winning their Canterbury Secondary Sports Midweek Winter grade in 2016.

Indoor Football
Darfield High School has two indoor football teams competing in Christchurch during Term One. We wish these teams the best of luck!
