In the past, Darfield High School has had several tennis teams competing in the Canterbury Secondary School Competitions on a Wednesday. However, the future of this sport depends on the availability of staff and parent support. In 2017, we will have a mixed team which will be competing at regionals in February with a possibility of entering the South Island Championships in early March (the ultimate goal). This event will be held in Timaru in 2017.
